Privacy notice — Travel Together for ChatGPT and Claude

This notice explains how we handle data when you connect your Travel Together account to an AI assistant such as ChatGPT (OpenAI) or Claude (Anthropic) through the "Travel Together" integration (the "Integration"). For everything else, the Travel Together app privacy policy applies.

What data we process

• Account data: identifier, name, email and profile photo of your Travel Together account, used to connect you and show the connected account. If you create an account while connecting, it is stored like any new app user.
• Trip data: name, destination, dates, currency, description and stops (name, place, coordinates, day, time, duration, notes) of the trips you create, read or change through the assistant.
• Time zone provided by the assistant, used only to store stop times correctly.
• Technical access data: access and refresh tokens, client identifier (e.g. ChatGPT or Claude), daily usage counters, technical server logs.

We do not access your conversations with the assistant: we only receive the data the assistant sends when it uses a Travel Together tool.

Why we process it and legal basis

To provide the service you ask for (creating and viewing your trips from the assistant), based on our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); for security and abuse prevention, based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.

Who we share it with

• The assistant you use (OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude) receives the results of the tools it calls, for example the data of the trip it created. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies.
• Google Cloud / Firebase (infrastructure provider): data is stored in data centers in the European Union.
• Pexels: to pick a cover image we send only the destination name, with no personal data.

How long we keep it

Trips stay in your account until you delete them in the app. Authorization codes expire after 5 minutes, access tokens after 1 hour, refresh tokens after 90 days or when you disconnect; usage counters are deleted after 7 days.

Disconnecting and your rights

You can disconnect Travel Together at any time from ChatGPT or Claude settings. You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or object to processing by writing to info@traveltogetherapp.com, and you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Children

The Integration is not intended for children under 14.
